About this board game

Deblockle is a casual strategy game for two players, with an approximate play time of 45 minutes. Each player controls four blocks and races to remove them from the board by maneuvering them onto the final star space.

Every turn has two steps. First, tip one block into an open adjacent space. Blocks may not be rolled diagonally or tipped into the star space. Then, use the symbol that lands face-up to determine how that same block moves, if movement is allowed.

The six symbols create the game’s tactical challenge. The Stop ends the turn immediately, while the Cross lets a block hop one space vertically or horizontally. The X allows a one-space diagonal hop, and the Slider moves vertically or horizontally until stopped by another block or the board’s edge.

  • Hoops: Hop in any combination of three horizontal or vertical steps, including back to a previously occupied space.
  • Star: The Star may not be rolled face-up anywhere except onto the star space at the opposite side of the board.
  • Movement restriction: Blocks may hop only onto open spaces.

The only way to remove a block is to roll it star-side up onto the opposing star space. Plan your tips and follow-up movement carefully, since every result can open or close routes across the board. In Deblockle, the first player to successfully remove all four blocks wins.
