Makara is a Turkish party game for 4–10 players that takes about 60 minutes to play. Tailored exclusively for the Turkish market, it draws inspiration from the public domain game Celebrities while adding a strong focus on Turkish cultural references, traditions, and humor.

The game includes an extensive collection of 250 cards, divided into seven distinct categories. Each card presents a personality or concept connected to different aspects of Turkish life and culture, creating plenty of opportunities for recognition, laughter, and playful interpretation.

Makara unfolds across three rounds, with each round changing how players communicate:

• Describe it: Explain the personality or concept without saying its name, using culturally specific references and humor.
• Say one word: Convey the same card using only a single word.
• Act it out: Communicate without speaking, relying entirely on gestures and charades.

Because the same cards return in each round, familiar ideas become increasingly challenging to express. The final charades round can draw on shared cultural experiences and jokes that are especially recognizable to a Turkish audience.
