About this board game

Vampire Radar is a hidden-location battle for 2–4 players that takes about 60 minutes. Humans search a square-grid map for an invisible vampire, using radar readings to narrow down its position and attacking before their ammunition is exhausted.

The game begins with 8–9 human pawns placed on the map. The vampire has no pawn, but secretly occupies a location somewhere on the grid. Because the vampire cannot be seen, the humans must rely on information from their radars and their own predictions about where it will move.

When a human uses a radar, the players learn how far the vampire is from that radar. The humans then interpret the clue, anticipate the vampire’s movements, and fire their guns at suspected locations. These attacks are made blindly, so every shot matters.

  • Human objective: Reduce the vampire’s life to zero before all humans are killed or all bullets are spent.
  • Vampire objective: Kill every human or survive until the humans run out of bullets.
  • Core tension: Use distance clues and movement guesses to decide where to shoot.

The second edition replaces the original 36 1×1 tiles with nine 2×2 tiles, making setup faster. It also includes a variant that rotates the human turn order: each human player takes one action, the starting marker passes clockwise, each human takes another action, and then the vampire acts.

With its unseen opponent, limited ammunition, and radar-based deductions, Vampire Radar turns every clue and every shot into a critical decision.
