About this board game
Noises at Night is a deduction game for 2-4 players in which detectives compete to score victory points. Set around Grandpa’s spooky house, it challenges players to investigate mysterious nighttime noises while protecting their secret identities.
Each player has a secret identity with a personal scoring symbol and a location where bonus points can be earned. Throughout the game, players place clues around the house, using them to build their score while carefully avoiding actions that reveal too much.
Clue placement creates the central tension. Place too few clues and you may miss valuable points; place too many and the other detectives may discover who you are. When an identity is uncovered, the players who work it out can gain additional guessing points.
- Secret identities with individual scoring symbols
- Locations that provide bonus points
- Clue placement around the spooky house
- A timer that reduces the value of guessing as rounds pass
With each passing round, the timer goes down, and the number of guessing points available decreases with it. This shrinking opportunity makes timing important: players must decide when to place clues, when to pursue a deduction, and how much information they can safely reveal.
Each player has a chance to be Leo, helping solve the mysteries around Grandpa’s house and discover the truth behind those noises at night. Released in 2018, Noises at Night offers a compact competitive deduction experience built around clues, hidden identities, bonus locations, and increasingly urgent guesses.
