About this board game

Goons is a euro-style strategy board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 120 minutes. Across three rounds, players compete to become the most successful henchman by earning victory points through daring villain schemes, street hustles, and careful resource management.

You are an unscrupulous contractor chasing cash, reputation, and the thrill of charging head first into trouble. On your turn, combine two actions by drafting an action cube from the game board and placing it on an action space on your crib board.

Use your actions to shape your career in several ways:

• Visit The Dojo to increase your energy.
• Shop for new gear at The Supermarket.
• Earn extra money at the local Diner.
• Mix things up on the game board at The Nightclub.
• Hustle on the streets, advance along different hustle tracks, and compete for the top spot.

The heart of the game lies in committing energy to villain schemes. Place energy markers on schemes to improve your chances of success and increase your potential rewards, then decide which villain is worth supporting. Each villain has a unique deck of schemes with its own theme and game mechanic, creating different combinations of risks and rewards from round to round.

Will you pursue the bigger potential payoff offered by Kid Random, trade with Jolly Butcher, or choose the safer path with The Doctor? Manage your energy, earn cash, acquire useful gear, and build your street reputation while weighing every opportunity.

At the end of the third round, the goon with the most victory points wins and earns the right to call themselves truly awesome. Goons puts bold choices, villainous schemes, and reckless ambition at the center of a competitive strategy game.
