About this board game

League of Six: Complete Edition is a tax-collection and influence game for 2–6 players, with an approximate play time of 120 minutes. Set in 1430, it places players in a Europe troubled by unrest, nearly a century after the League of Six was formed by prosperous towns in Lusatia.

Players become aspiring young aristocrats serving as tax collectors in this unsettled territory. Their goal is to distinguish themselves by gathering the highest tax revenue for King Sigismund while winning support from influential estates. The player who gains the most influence earns victory and a place at the king’s court.

The game unfolds over six turns, each representing one year. During each turn, players visit one of the six cities to collect goods. These goods are placed in royal or estate reserves, helping determine the influence players gain at King Sigismund’s court.

  • Play through six years of tax collection and competition.
  • Visit one of six cities during each turn.
  • Store collected goods in royal or estate reserves.
  • Compete for the greatest influence and recognition at court.

This Complete Edition presents the original game with slightly adjusted mechanics intended to make it more player-friendly, alongside fresh modern graphics. It also includes the Loyal Retinue expansion and a new expansion for two players.

The two-player expansion introduces the option to play with any number of automated opponents, adding further ways to experience League of Six. Across its six-year journey, the game combines the pursuit of royal tax revenue with the struggle for estate support and courtly influence.
