About this board game
Guildes is an election game for 2–6 players, played in about 35 minutes, in which players compete to lead the medieval city of Portyl.
Portyl is made up of different guilds, each more or less powerful. To become head of the city, you must convert these guilds to your cause and recover their voices. The central aim is clear: build the strongest support before the final count.
The election unfolds across three rounds. Votes are counted at the end of each round, giving the contest a series of important milestones as players work to secure the guilds behind their campaigns.
- Compete for leadership of the medieval city of Portyl.
- Win over guilds with different levels of power.
- Take part in three rounds, each followed by a vote count.
- Finish with the most votes to win the election.
Every round brings the players closer to the decisive result. The guilds’ voices determine who can rise to the head of the city, so the final outcome depends on the total support recovered throughout the election.
At the end of the third round, the player with the most votes is appointed to lead Portyl and wins the game. With its focused election structure and medieval guild setting, Guildes presents a compact contest for influence designed for groups of two to six players.
Released in 2017, Guildes centers its experience on a straightforward objective: convert the city’s guilds to your cause, survive the three vote counts, and claim the greatest number of voices when the election ends.
