About this board game

Pletrix is a roll-and-write game for 1–6 players that takes about 45 minutes, challenging players to capture drifting pieces and clean the galaxy’s space superhighways.

After aliens accidentally release thousands of pieces from a forgotten game cartridge, the International Earthling Government creates a selection system to find the best collectors. On each turn, the active player rolls all 10 dice, then chooses groups of dice to determine which figures are drawn on the matching colored panels.

Players place figures orthogonally adjacent to existing shapes, beginning from an initial cell. Whenever possible, figures must be placed; if placement is impossible, an error box is marked. The active player also sets aside one dice group, while the other players use the remaining choices to fill their own sheets.

• Panel A: Score based on covered cells, with uncovered cells penalizing the result.
• Panel B: Each covered cell is worth one point.
• Panel C: Figures fall from above like Tetris pieces, with completed lines and 5×5 grids earning bonuses.
• Panel D: Star cells award the points shown when covered.
• Panel E: Fill sections from left to right to reach progressively higher scoring values.

Special cells add tactical options. Bonuses can duplicate a dice group, copy a single die, allow the active player to roll again, or immediately fill one or two cells. Completing highlighted figures can also provide figures to draw elsewhere, while some figures in Panel C are unlocked by filling them in Panel D.

The game ends when a player completes three panels or marks a third error box, after which scores are compared. Ties are broken by scores in Panels B, C, and then D. With its colorful panels, dice-driven choices, and accessible family-focused format, Pletrix offers a lively space-themed puzzle for every round.
