About this board game
Dying Light: The Board Game is a cooperative survival game for 1–4 players, with sessions lasting around 120 minutes. Set in Villedor, the last human outpost on Earth, it puts players in the roles of daring Runners fighting to outlive the end of civilization.
Working together—or facing the challenge in a true solo experience—you must survive wave after wave of the zombie-like Infected. The game combines an intuitive, easy-to-learn ruleset with a sprawling modular city map, creating a changing environment filled with danger and opportunity.
- A modular city map with spectacular 3D structures
- An adrenaline-fueled parkour and combat system
- Interactive aids and hazards across the city
- A menagerie of ghastly enemies
- An impactful day-and-night cycle
Movement and survival are closely linked, as the Runners navigate the city while responding to threats that can quickly turn the situation against them. The day-and-night cycle adds another important shift to the experience, ensuring that the city does not remain equally dangerous at every moment.
Dying Light: The Board Game also features a dynamic narrative shaped by the factions running Villedor. Players must struggle to stay on the good side of these competing groups while adapting to newly revealed threats and rapidly shifting alliances.
With its blend of cooperative decision-making, parkour, combat, modular exploration, and narrative pressure, the game offers a fresh take on the survival genre. Every outing challenges the Runners to stay human in a city where doing so is easier said than done.
