About this board game
Oosterbeek Perimeter is a standalone two-player game with an approximately 300-minute play time, expanding the Battle of Arnhem with two additional maps and 16 scenarios.
Designed to link with Arnhem: Defiant Stand, it brings the action to the entire British Airborne perimeter. The two historical street-level maps use a 50-yard scale, placing the fighting in the streets and around the positions where the battle unfolded.
The setting includes the advance of King Tigers toward the Hartenstein Hotel and the acts of bravery that earned numerous Victoria Crosses. These historical locations and events provide the context for a broad range of Arnhem action, from compact engagements to battles covering the full map.
Following the approach of Advanced Tobruk: Tank Battles in North Africa 1940-43, Oosterbeek Perimeter offers a stack of small, fast-playing scenarios that let players get onto the maps quickly. It also includes monster-sized action for those seeking a larger experience.
- Two historical game maps on heavyweight stock
- 16 new scenarios printed on separate heavyweight cards
- Street-level maps at a 50-yard scale
- A ziploc bag for storing the game materials
Whether played alongside Arnhem: Defiant Stand or as a standalone title, Oosterbeek Perimeter expands the battlefield and adds substantial new scenario content to the Arnhem gaming experience. Released in 2006, it is built around the British Airborne perimeter and the historical struggle for Oosterbeek.
