About this board game

Vikings: Scourge of the North is a solitaire board game for 1 player, designed for a play time of about 90 minutes. Lead a band of Viking warriors, their ships, and their weapons during the last centuries of the Dark Age.

Set across a map stretching from Russia to Vinland and from Scandinavia to the fabled lands of the Byzantine Empire, the game follows a pursuit of gold, glory, and new lands to settle. The Vikings are presented not only as raiders, but also as explorers, traders, and colonists.

Your forces include units representing historical Viking leaders such as Leif Erikson and Harald Hardrada. You can recruit elite huskarls and fanatic berserkers, while building more longships to support your ambitions across the seas.

Saga cards send you on four different voyages, creating a framework of discovery and quests. Voyage cards add special actions, including forming a shield wall in combat and ending the game with a Viking funeral.

Released in 2018, Vikings: Scourge of the North combines historical Viking figures, seafaring expansion, recruitment, and exploration in a focused solo experience.
