About this board game

And That’s How I Died is a storytelling card game for 2–6 players, with games lasting up to 45 minutes. You are mighty heroes gathered atop Valhalla, where you share memories from your epic lives and compete to decide who was the greatest.

Combine Adventure Cards to create your memories, then correct the other heroes by changing their stories. Collect Adventures, spin the tallest tales, and score the most points. With new stories every game and 27,000 possible combinations, each session offers plenty of room for different memories and unexpected tales.

The game includes multiple ways to pursue victory, along with a distinctive reverse player elimination feature. Its central twist is captured in the premise: you are trying to kill yourself. The result is a game about legendary lives, dramatic endings, and the stories heroes tell after death.

  • For 2–6 players
  • Approximately 45 minutes to play
  • 90 Adventure Cards
  • 5 Instruction Cards and 10 Achievement Cards
