About this board game
Welcome To… Mini is a compact town-building game for 1–6 players, with an approximately 25-minute play time. As architects in 1950s United States, players compete to create the best new town by developing streets, estates, parks, and pools.
The game uses a card system instead of dice. Cards are flipped from three piles to create three action sets, each pairing a house number with a corresponding action. Everyone chooses one available combination, then uses the number to fill a house on their street in numerical order.
After placing a house, the chosen action can help increase the value of estates, score points for parks and pools, or alter and duplicate house numbers. Players also race to complete public goals, creating multiple routes toward becoming the leading suburban architect.
- Card-driven play: Three piles create changing combinations of house numbers and actions.
- Town development: Build houses in numerical order and improve the value of your estates.
- Multiple scoring opportunities: Parks, pools, estates, and public goals all matter.
- Compact components: Six laminated 10 cm × 10 cm sheets, six mini dry-erase markers, and 55 cards.
Welcome To… Mini is a smaller version of Welcome To… that contains only six laminated sheets, six mini dry-erase markers, and 55 cards. No rules are included in the box, and the publisher has stated that this version is sold only as an add-on to the original Welcome To… game.
With shared action choices, numerical house placement, and several ways to score, Welcome To… Mini offers a concise take on suburban planning for players seeking a portable card-based town-building experience.
