Papertown

About this board game

Papertown is a city-building board game for 1–4 players, with a play time of around 30 minutes. Released in 2021, it puts you in the role of a contracted planner helping manage the rapid development of a growing city.

Each turn, you expand Papertown by placing new parts of the city. Choose from commercial, residential and industrial districts, while also developing lakes, parks and public buildings. Every placement helps shape the city as you work toward the conditions needed for further construction.

• Meet the necessary conditions to build special structures.
• Populate Papertown with your Citizens.

Once the required conditions are fulfilled, you can build distinctive special structures, including resorts, gated communities and aquariums. These additions give your city development a further objective as you continue planning and expanding.

The central challenge is to successfully place all of your Citizens in the city. The first player to do so wins, turning every decision about Papertown’s growth into part of a race toward completion.

With its focus on city expansion, varied district types and conditional construction, Papertown offers a concise planning experience for groups of up to four players, while also supporting a single-player game.
