About this board game
Regnum Angelica is a two-player strategic card and board game, designed for a 45-minute battle between Gabriel’s archangels and Beelzebub’s fallen angels.
One player commands the white deck representing the archangels, while the other uses the black deck representing the forces of the fallen. Each deck contains Angels, Angelic Scripts, and Pillars, giving both armies tools for combat, special abilities, and protection.
- Angels: Your main combat units, used to defend your realm and attempt to infiltrate your opponent’s.
- Angelic Scripts: Ancient celestial writings in the Malachim alphabet that grant special abilities and enable powerful combinations.
- Pillars: Elemental defenses that call upon earth, fire, or water to protect your troops from enemy attacks.
As angels visit earth, each army charges its power meter. This resource determines movement and the ability to execute Angelic Scripts, creating a constant tension between advancing across the board and unleashing special effects.
Use too many scripts and your mobility suffers. Spend power on movement and your ability to harness the scripts wanes. You must decide whether to protect your own realm, launch a full offensive, burn scripts for precious power, or save them to combine with others.
Every choice shapes the struggle to end the ultimate stalemate between good and evil. In Regnum Angelica, careful resource management and tactical positioning are essential as you seek to penetrate the enemy kingdom and etch the final outcome into history.
