Storm of Steel: Ju-87 Stuka – Eastern Front is a solitaire tactical air wargame for one player, with missions taking about 90 minutes. As a Staffelkapitän, or flight leader, you select, equip, and fly a squadron of Stuka dive bombers across the Eastern Front from Operation Barbarossa in 1941 through the Kursk offensive in 1943.

Build a Staffel of up to ten Stukas using individual, historically named pilots and gunners, or create your own crew. Lead StG-1, StG-2, or StG-77 on close air support missions against a wide range of targets. Your assignments may include Soviet airfields, troop concentrations, rail lines, convoys, tank formations, and naval targets.

• Fly missions during the opening days of Operation Barbarossa.
• Attempt the drive on Moscow during Operation Winter Storm.
• Take part in Case Blue and the offensive on Stalingrad.
• Use the Ju-87G tank killer during Operation Citadel.
• Conduct maritime operations against the Red Navy in the Gulf of Finland and the Black Sea.

Every sortie brings serious hazards. Avoid enemy fighters, bad weather, and deadly anti-aircraft fire while trying to deliver your payload accurately. Mission logs and scores track your performance, while experience helps improve both your own proficiency and that of your unit.

Between missions, manage aircraft replacements and repairs, as well as wounded crew and pilot or gunner replacements. The experience-based promotion system gives your Staffel’s personnel room to develop over the course of your career.
