About this board game

Churrascaria: A Cutthroat Game of Gluttony is a fast-paced card-collection game for 2–6 players that takes about 35 minutes. Players compete to consume the most valuable meats while avoiding sides and desserts that reduce their final score.

Each turn, players try to eat food cards from their plates. They can also play action cards to steal food from other players or discard unwanted sides and desserts, while defending their own choices from interference.

The game’s table is filled with opportunities for food theft, plate swapping, and general backstabbing. Every card on a plate can matter, so players must decide whether to eat immediately, protect their food, or use an action to disrupt someone else’s plan.

  • Collect food: Eat cards from your plate and build up your stomach.
  • Use action cards: Steal food, discard sides and desserts, and affect other players’ plates.
  • Manage your score: Meats add points, while sides and desserts subtract points.

When the food deck runs out, everyone adds up the values of the cards in their stomachs. The player with the highest score wins, making every unwanted side and dessert a potential liability right up to the end.

Released in 2018, Churrascaria combines straightforward card collection with direct player interaction and a playful food-fight atmosphere. It is a competitive meal where the goal is not simply to eat, but to make sure your rivals end up with less satisfying plates than yours.
