About this board game

Ticket to Ride: New York is a fast-paced 2–4 player board game that brings the familiar Ticket to Ride gameplay to a scaled-down map of Manhattan, with games lasting no more than 15 minutes.

Each player begins with 15 taxis, two transportation cards, and one or two destination tickets showing locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn. On your turn, choose whether to collect cards, claim a route, or draw new destination tickets.

• Collect transportation cards: Draw two cards from the deck or the five face-up cards. A face-up taxi counts as all six colors.
• Claim routes: Discard cards matching the color of an available route, or use any set of cards to claim a gray route.
• Draw destination tickets: Take two tickets and keep at least one.

Destination tickets reward you for connecting their two locations with a continuous line of your taxis. You can also score points by reaching the tourist attractions scattered across the board, while every route you claim contributes to your total.

The end of the game arrives when a player has no more than two taxis left. Every player, including the one who triggered the ending, takes one final turn before scoring begins. Completed destination tickets and claimed routes add points, while uncompleted tickets subtract points.

With its compact map and quick turns, Ticket to Ride: New York delivers route-building decisions in a short, accessible format. The player with the highest score wins.
