About this board game

Fields of Green is a farm-building board game for 2–4 players, playable in about 45 minutes. Set in the second half of the 20th century, it puts each player in charge of a farm and business that must grow over four years.

During each round, players draft cards and add them to their expanding property. Fields, livestock, and facilities help shape an economic engine, creating the foundation for future development and bringing players closer to victory.

At the end of every year, harvest season tests how well each farm has been managed. Before gaining valuable resources for the next stage of expansion, players must take care of several ongoing responsibilities:

• Water fields
• Feed livestock
• Pay maintenance costs

These resources allow farms to continue developing as the game progresses. Players also have various ways to convert their wealth into victory points, so building a productive property is only part of the challenge.

Inspired by Among the Stars, Fields of Green combines card drafting, property expansion, and resource management in a focused four-year arc. Each year offers another opportunity to add to your farm, support its operations, and improve its position before the final scoring.

When the fourth year ends, the player who has gathered the most victory points wins. With its combination of farm development and carefully managed harvests, the game offers a clear path from a growing property to a successful agricultural business.
