About this board game
Mythos Tales is a storytelling investigation game for 1–10 players, with games lasting about 120 minutes. Set in H.P. Lovecraft’s Arkham during the 1920s, it challenges you to uncover mysteries through careful research and deduction.
Each investigation sends you from location to location and suspect to suspect as you follow a trail of clues. Your essential resources include a provided newspaper, a list of allies, a directory of Arkham residents, and a map of the city. Together, these tools create a mystery that you must unravel through your own choices and reasoning.
Mythos Tales is not a typical board game: there are no dice and no luck. Instead, success depends on your mental ability, your command of the available information, and how efficiently you pursue the truth. At the end of each scenario, answer the questions posed and see how your investigation compares with Armitage’s score.
Your final score reflects several parts of the investigation, including the number of clue points needed to visit, the risks you took with your sanity, and your ability to find the correct answers. You can collaborate with Armitage’s investigations as part of your training—or try to beat his score.
The print edition includes eight cases:
- A Grain of Evil
- Flesh and Blood

Released in 2016, Mythos Tales offers a focused Lovecraftian mystery experience built around investigation, storytelling, and deduction.
