About this board game

Décorum is a cooperative hidden-information logic game for 2–4 players, played in about 45 minutes, in which you decorate a shared home while secretly pursuing different requirements.

Each player draws a Scenario card listing criteria for how the house should look. These conditions might require particular décor in every room or forbid an item entirely, and players keep their rules secret. The challenge is to discover a solution that satisfies everyone without being told exactly what each person needs.

On your turn, add, remove, or swap décor tokens, or repaint rooms, as you work toward your ideal arrangement. After an item is placed, the other players can respond only with “Love it,” “Hate it,” or “Fine with it.” This restricted communication makes every move meaningful: you must watch your partner’s choices, interpret their reactions, and explain your intentions through play rather than revealing your private criteria.

  • 30 unique scenarios, each introducing new twists and challenges
  • Secret criteria that create different decorating priorities
  • A shared house board with rooms and décor tokens to arrange
  • A cooperative focus on communication, conflict, and compromise

At its core, Décorum is a straightforward puzzle with a small number of arrangements that can meet all the requirements. Yet solving it is only part of the experience. When another player disrupts your plan, success may depend on abandoning your original strategy and paying closer attention to what they are trying to achieve.

Find the solution before time runs out, satisfy every player’s criteria, and create a home everyone can accept. Décorum turns decorating into a focused test of deduction, limited information, and positive compromise.
