About this board game

Virus! is a 20-minute card game for 2–6 players, released in 2015, where you compete to be the first to build a body with four healthy organs.

Experimental virus outbreaks have escaped the lab, and every player must work to isolate a healthy body. Play organs into your player area, protect them with pills, and use viruses to infect matching organs belonging to your rivals. Your goal is to have four healthy organs in front of you before anyone else.

Each turn, choose between playing a card or discarding any number of cards, then replenish your hand to three cards. The available cards include:

• Four organs, plus a joker organ
• Four viruses, each specific to an organ, plus a joker virus
• Four pills, each specific to an organ, plus a joker pill
• Special action cards

You can have only one of each organ in your player area. Pills and viruses may be played on any player’s organs, but they must match the organ’s color. A second pill on an organ immunizes it against infection, making careful protection an important part of your race to victory.

In Virus!, clever timing and disruptive plays can change the situation quickly. Use your cards to strengthen your own body, boycott your rivals’ efforts, and pursue the first complete set of four healthy organs.
