About this board game

Bot Factory is a 2023 board game for 1–4 players that plays in about 60 minutes, challenging you to gather projects and parts, assemble bots, fulfill demand goals, and improve the value of the bot you are making.

Your progress centers on collecting what you need and turning those projects and parts into completed bots. As you work toward demand goals, you also seek to increase the value of your bot, giving your choices a clear connection to the factory’s objectives.

The game features Sandra, the factory manager from Kanban. She moves between different departments and uses the players’ spaces, adding her presence directly to the flow of activity across the factory.

Bot Factory uses the same worker-placement mechanism from Kanban. Turn order is established by the positions of the workers on the board, making where workers are placed an important part of how the game unfolds.

With its focus on projects, parts, bot assembly, demand goals, and worker positions, Bot Factory presents a focused factory-building experience for a small group or solo play. Its combination of production goals and position-based turn order gives each session a structured path from gathering materials to improving a finished bot.
