You’re Bluffing! is a classic bidding and bluffing game for 3–5 players, with play lasting about 45 minutes. The deck contains sets of farm animals, with four cards for each animal.

On an auction turn, the top animal card from the deck is offered to the players. The highest bid wins—but the auctioneer always has the choice to buy the animal for the same price as the highest bid. This gives the auctioneer a meaningful decision and keeps every bid under consideration.

Players can also try to complete their animal sets by trading with another player. These trades use a blind bidding system: both players place their bids face down, then reveal them simultaneously. The high bidder gets the other player’s animal, and both players swap their bids.

The central challenge is judging how much to bid. It is often best to offer just a little more than your opponent—but you must first work out how much they may have placed face down. Every auction and trade becomes a test of timing, confidence, and reading the other players.

With its combination of open auctions and uncertain simultaneous bids, You’re Bluffing! creates a focused contest over valuable animal cards. The game was released in 1985 and was later reimplemented by Kuhhandel Master (2009).
