About this board game

Monster Slaughter is a tactical horror board game for 2–5 players with a 60-minute play time, inspired by classic 1980s horror movies.

The roles are reversed: instead of fleeing from monsters, five guests are hiding in an abandoned cabin, and each player commands a family of three monsters. The family includes a father, mother, and child, each with their own stats and family power.

Search the cabin to uncover the guests and locate their hiding places. Each victim is concealed in a pile of cards, giving monsters the chance to search through them while gathering items and traps. Once a guest is revealed, their miniature is placed on the board and they can be attacked.

• Control a family of three monsters with individual stats and a family power.
• Search card piles to reveal hidden guests, items, and traps.
• Set a secret killing order and earn more points by following it.
• Use item cards to defend guests or scare them into other rooms.

Before the slaughter begins, every player secretly chooses the order in which they want the guests eliminated. Killing victims in that order is worth more points, creating a tactical race to control where the guests go and when they die.

Other monsters can disrupt your plans, but item cards offer ways to defend guests against rivals or frighten victims away to different rooms. With its scenario book, Monster Slaughter also provides new objectives and special rules, making each moonless night a different experience.
