About this board game

Welcome To New Las Vegas is a simultaneous roll-and-write game for 1–50 players, with a play time of about 35 minutes. Players compete to build the greatest and most entertaining city by developing casinos, hotels, golf courses, performances, and limousine routes for VIPs.

The game uses two different sheets: one for the map and another for tracking scores and objectives. Its dice-without-dice system keeps the familiar feel of Welcome To… while introducing a new theme and new mechanisms.

At the start of each turn, cards are flipped from three piles to create three combinations of a casino number and a corresponding action. Everyone chooses one combination, then uses its number to fill in a casino on a street in numerical order and carries out the associated action.

• Build and open casinos along the streets.
• Construct hotels in the avenues.
• Create golf courses for the resort.
• Give performances to attract tourists.
• Move limousines for VIPs.

Players must balance these opportunities while racing to complete public goals before their opponents. With many ways to develop the city, there are several paths to becoming the best resort architect.

Because the actions are communal, gameplay happens simultaneously, allowing Welcome To New Las Vegas to support very large groups without requiring players to take turns one at a time. The action sets are completely randomized, so each game presents different choices and strategies.

Whether played solo or with a crowd, Welcome To New Las Vegas challenges everyone to plan a distinctive resort and pursue the objectives that will lead to victory.
