About this expansion

Tapestry: Fantasies & Futures is a 2023 expansion for 1–5 players, with games lasting about 120 minutes, that lets you build civilizations inspired by fantasy and science fiction.

As the third and final expansion to Tapestry, Fantasies & Futures explores the abundant parallel universes of the setting. It introduces new civilizations, technologies, tapestries, and capital cities that can be combined with the core game and the other Tapestry expansions.

The expansion includes a substantial collection of new content:

• 10 new civilizations inspired by fantasy and science fiction
• 6 advanced capital city mats
• 38 new tapestry cards
• 12 new technology cards

Several new tapestry cards introduce the charm mechanism, providing one-time bonuses during play. Some of the new tapestry and technology cards also feature special payoffs reserved for the final income turn, adding distinctive late-game possibilities to your civilization’s development.

Alongside the new content, the box contains a comprehensive rulebook that brings together the rules for Tapestry and all three expansions in one place. It also includes replacement cards from previous releases: three landmark cards, Oil Paint, and Migration.

Fantasies & Futures is fully compatible with any combination of the core game and the other Tapestry expansions, as well as the natural rubber playmat. The expansion is packaged in an eco-friendly, recyclable envelope, making it a convenient way to add new fantasy and sci-fi possibilities to your Tapestry collection.
