About this board game

Safranito is a 2010 action-filled board game for 2–4 players, with playtime of about 45 minutes, combining tactical decisions with dexterity.

At an Indian spice booth, players bargain for the precious ingredients required for their exquisite meals. To compete for the spices, everyone throws Indian coins face-down onto the bowls depicted on the game board.

The coin-throwing system gives Safranito its distinctive character. Players may bluff and push opponents’ coins aside, while careful positioning can create valuable opportunities. A clever coin thrower aims to arrange coins so they can both sell spices at a high price and purchase other spices cheaply.
