About this expansion

Thunderstone Quest: Barricades Mode is a solo or cooperative deckbuilding game for 1–6 players, with each Adventure taking about 90 minutes.

In this expansion, players face the toughest Guardians in Thunderstone Quest. Each player’s deck represents a party of stalwart adventurers, ready to confront the challenges of the Dungeon before returning to the Village to recover and re-equip.

On your turn, draw a hand from your deck and use its cards to determine your actions. You may visit the Village to buy new cards and use your resources, enter the Dungeon to fight monsters, or combine both approaches as the situation demands.

• Solo or cooperative play for 1–6 players
• Deckbuilding with cards that shape your preferred strategy
• A themed Adventure featuring Dungeon tiles, monsters, treasures, and challenges
• A dramatic Guardian encounter at the end of the Adventure

Each Adventure combines a set of Dungeon tiles with a selection of themed cards and challenges. As your deck develops and your adventurers overcome adversaries, you grow stronger and move toward the final confrontation with the Guardian.

Thunderstone Quest: Barricades Mode is designed for players who want to experience the adventure together—or take on the Dungeon alone. The mode emphasizes overcoming its challenges as a group while using the cards available in each game to build an effective strategy.
