About this expansion

Star Wars: The Card Game – Edge of Darkness is a deluxe expansion for two players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. Released in 2013, it adds 22 new objective sets and 132 total cards to Star Wars: The Card Game.

This expansion introduces two new affiliations: the dark side’s Scum and Villainy and the light side’s Smugglers and Spies. Both operate at the outskirts of Imperial law, bringing new ways to battle for the fate of the galaxy.

Drawing heavily from the original Star Wars trilogy, Edge of Darkness focuses on the remote planet of Tatooine and the independent mining colony of Cloud City. Its cards expand the game with themes involving Jawas, Tuskens, bounties, captives, and sabotage.

The expansion also features notable heroes and villains from the Star Wars universe, including Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian, Greedo, Bossk, and Jabba the Hutt. These familiar characters appear alongside unheralded events that broaden the setting and its conflicts.
