About this expansion

Tekhenu: Time of Seth is a 2021 expansion for 1–4 players, with a play time of about 120 minutes. It adds new layers of interaction and strategic options to Tekhenu: Obelisk of the Sun.

The power of Egypt is spreading beyond its borders, and Seth, the god of conflict, demands decisive action. Players can subdue Canaan and wage war against the mighty Hittite Empire, sending soldiers into lands that defy or threaten the kingdom.

A new board introduces opportunities to conquer neighboring lands, gaining in-game benefits and opening new ways to score victory points. Conquest is not without consequences, however: as more battles are fought, balancing your deeds becomes more complicated than before.

Soldiers are needed to take control of lands beyond Egypt’s borders, while priests help players claim artifacts and pursue fresh strategic possibilities. Together, these additions create more interaction and more decisions throughout the game.

Tekhenu: Time of Seth also includes advanced rules designed specifically to enhance the two-player experience. With military expansion, priestly influence, artifacts, and additional scoring opportunities, the expansion gives players new ways to shape Egypt’s path toward greater victories.
