About this expansion

Kemet: Blood and Sand – Book of the Dead is an expansion for 2–5 players, with a playing time of approximately 120 minutes, released in 2021. It brings forbidden knowledge and some of the most powerful power tiles in the Kemet: Blood and Sand universe to the gods of Ancient Egypt.

These fearsome abilities offer remarkable strength, but they demand a terrible price. To access the Book of the Dead, you must sacrifice your units to feed the Beyond. As you descend further into putrefaction, you will lose increasing amounts of prestige compared with your opponents and may even have to surrender precious victory points.

The expansion turns dark power into a dangerous bargain. Its abilities can help shape your conquest of the black lands, but every step toward the Beyond carries consequences that can affect your standing and your hard-earned progress.

• Forbidden knowledge: Gain access to powerful and dangerous power tiles.
• A costly path: Sacrifice units to feed the Beyond and pursue darker abilities.
• Dark allies: Seek to summon Apophis, the monstrous being of pure evil from the Underworld, or bend Thoth, repository of dark knowledge, to your will.
