About this expansion
Dune: CHOAM & Richese is an expansion for the Dune board game that adds two factions, two variants, and new strategic options for 3–6 players in approximately 120 minutes.
The Combine Honnete Ober Advancer Mercantiles, or CHOAM, controlled much of the Imperium’s economic affairs and held a powerful interest in Arrakis beyond spice production. As the largest single source of wealth in the Imperium, CHOAM became a focus of political maneuvering, with influence used to maximize dividends and skim profits.
House Richese joins the game with a reputation for ingenuity and technological invention. However, Count Ilban Richese’s business blunders threatened the family’s fortunes. After being ousted from governing Arrakis, House Richese was forced to sell important creations to raise enough funds to continue competing.
Beyond the new factions, this expansion introduces Leader Skills. Assign skills such as Mentat, Swordmaster of Ginaz, or Prana Bindu Adept to one of your leader discs, adding another layer of identity and capability to your leaders.
- Two new factions: CHOAM and House Richese
- Two new game variants
- Leader Skills for assigning specialized abilities to leader discs
- Advanced Stronghold Cards for a homefield advantage in battles at strongholds you control
Advanced Stronghold Cards further reward control of key locations by providing a homefield advantage when battling in a stronghold you control. With economic influence, technological ingenuity, leader customization, and enhanced stronghold battles, Dune: CHOAM & Richese expands the political and strategic possibilities of the base game.
