About this expansion

Die Glasstraße: Oktoberfest is a small expansion for 1–4 players with a listed play time of 75 minutes. It adds a building effect focused on removing landscape tiles from a player’s board.

With this expansion, its owner may immediately remove any number of adjacent landscape tiles from their board. The affected tiles can be Pits, Groves, or Ponds, provided they are next to the building.

Every removal provides a specific resource according to the type of landscape removed:

• Remove a Pond to gain 4 water.
• Remove a Pit to gain 4 Quartz sand.
• Remove a Grove to gain 4 wood.

The production wheels are rotated after every removal if necessary. This means the effect combines landscape clearing with immediate resource gains, while also accounting for changes to production during the sequence.

Originally available as a promotional item at SPIEL ’14, Die Glasstraße: Oktoberfest was later incorporated into the Glass Road base game beginning with the 2021 editions. Its rules remain concise, centering on one clear interaction: use the building to remove neighboring landscapes and collect the corresponding resources.

As a compact addition to the Glass Road experience, this expansion is defined by its flexible removal ability and its direct conversion of board spaces into water, Quartz sand, or wood. The result is a focused rules module that can affect several adjacent landscape tiles in succession.
