In the Year of the Dragon: The Great Wall of China & The Super Events

About this expansion

In the Year of the Dragon: The Great Wall of China & The Super Events is an expansion for 2–5 players with a playing time of 75 minutes.

In The Great Wall of China, each player takes the six Great Wall tiles in their color. When a player chooses the new build Great Wall action, they select one of their remaining tiles, receive the matching symbol from the supply, and place the tile under the first event tile.

The Great Wall tiles provide a range of useful rewards:

• 1 rice
• 1 rocket
• 2 yuans
• 1 palace level
• 3 victory points
• 3 spaces on the order track

The expansion also adds 10 Super Event tiles. Shuffle these tiles face down, then randomly draw one and place it face up on the seventh event tile. The selected Super Event is resolved after that event, adding a distinct development to the game’s event sequence.

This expansion gives players another action to consider while offering several different rewards through their colored Great Wall tiles. Its Super Event is selected at random, so the additional event content varies from one game to the next.

In the Year of the Dragon: The Great Wall of China & The Super Events was released in 2009. It was not released separately, but can be found in the Alea Treasure Chest, bundled with In the Year of the Dragon: 10th Anniversary, and through the BGG Store.
