About this expansion

On Tour: European Expansion is a map expansion for 1–8 players, with games lasting about 20 minutes. Released in 2020, it applies the same rules as the USA map while introducing a different geographical challenge.

The European map contains 39 countries connected by 70 lines, compared with 41 states and 89 lines on the USA map. These differences create a new strategic feel without changing the underlying rules of the game.

Europe is easier to cross from one side to the other. The maximum distance between any two countries is 6, compared with a maximum distance of 10 on the USA map, making it easier to zigzag across the whole board.

At the same time, the European layout is harder to navigate in close quarters. With fewer connections overall, finding room to wiggle around nearby locations presents a different challenge from the USA map.

This expansion includes only the European boards and cards. It does not include dice, markers, USA cards, or a box.

On Tour: European Expansion is also already included in the second edition of the base game. For players using an earlier edition, its European geography offers a compact alternative map with shorter maximum distances and a distinctive way to approach the same rules.
