CV: Promo Cards

About this expansion

CV: Promo Cards is a 2013 expansion set for 2–4 players, designed for games lasting about 60 minutes. It adds three promotional cards that can be mixed into the base cards of CV.

Each card introduces a distinct combination of costs and rewards. The cards use familiar icons, including happy faces, light bulbs, dollar signs, relationship icons, and victory points, creating new options within the existing game.

• Boardgame designer: Spend two happy faces and two light bulbs to receive one happy face, one light bulb, and one relationship icon each turn.
• Boardgame collection: Spend three dollar signs to receive one victory point at the end of the game and one relationship icon each turn.
• Trip to game fair in Essen: Spend three dollar signs to receive two happy face icons once.

The three cards offer different reward patterns. Two provide benefits each turn, while the trip to the game fair in Essen delivers its two happy face icons as a one-time reward. The boardgame collection also adds a victory point at the end of the game.

With its compact set of themed additions, CV: Promo Cards gives players more cards to combine with the base game. Its varied costs and timing make each promo card distinct, from recurring icon rewards to a final scoring bonus or an immediate one-time benefit.
