The Lost Expedition: The Cursed Idol – Solo Promo is a set of three promo cards for 1–5 players, with a listed play time of 50 minutes. Released in 2017, this card set is designed for solo play and also works with the cooperative game.

Each promo card is shuffled into the main deck before play. Together, they introduce a clear risk-and-reward element: every card offers a greater risk in exchange for a greater reward.

The three promo cards are:

• 99.5 Ancient Trap!
• 40.5 Golden Idol!
• 20.5 Possessed!

Because the cards are added directly to the main deck, their presence becomes part of the card experience rather than a separate module to manage during play. The set is especially intended for solo games, while remaining compatible with cooperative play for groups of up to five players.

The Lost Expedition: The Cursed Idol – Solo Promo was released at UK Games Expo 2017 and was also available at other US events during 2017. It provides a compact way to add all three themed promo cards to The Lost Expedition, with each one built around the same greater-risk, greater-reward concept.
