Alien Frontiers: Faction Pack #3 – Brethren of the Stars is a faction pack for 2–5 players, released in 2015. It introduces the Brethren, a pirate crew known for hijacking ships for nefarious purposes and smuggling tridium ore in their spare time.

The Brethren bring distinctive faction abilities to the game through their faction board and custom Brethren Ship die. Their abilities focus on taking over ships and gaining ore, giving this faction a clear identity built around piracy and resource smuggling.

As the faction’s Owner ability, use the Brethren Ship to replace any ship on the board. Then re-roll and use the hijacked ship. This ability lets the Brethren interact directly with ships already on the board while putting the custom ship component to work.

Their Facility ability provides another route to ore. Move the Brethren Ship to an empty dock at the lunar mine and gain 2 ore. The ability combines the faction’s custom component with a specific board location and an immediate resource gain.
