About this expansion

Valdora: Extra is a boxed expansion for Valdora that supports games for 2–5 players with an advertised play time of 60 minutes.

Released at Essen 2009, this expansion adds the rules and components for Valdora-Duel, a variant designed for two players. It also introduces new special cards for advanced players and a start player token.

When Valdora: Extra is used, each player begins the game with some of the special cards. These cards add new possibilities to the experience through two distinct types of effects:

• Victory point cards award points for meeting specific conditions at the end of the game.
• Map cards provide special bonuses for the remainder of the game.

The combination of these cards gives players additional goals and continuing bonuses to consider while playing Valdora. Since the expansion includes both end-game scoring conditions and effects that last for the rest of the game, it adds variety without replacing the core game.

The start player token is another included component, while Valdora-Duel provides a dedicated option for two-player sessions. Players looking for more advanced choices or a way to enjoy Valdora with one opponent can use the expansion’s additional rules and components.
