Tiny Epic Galaxies: Beyond the Black – Deluxe Edition is an expansion for 1–5 players, with games taking about 45 minutes. Released in 2017, it includes the Beyond the Black expansion together with the Drones Mini Expansion.

Your known galaxies have reached their limits, so the next step is to upgrade your fleet and venture into the unknown. Four new ships can be accessed by upgrading your original ships, while specialized pilots bring unique abilities to your growing spacefaring operation.

Each pilot is trained to use particular ship types. Hiring a pilot costs unused dice matching the relevant ship type, while specialization can reduce that pilot’s cost. Pilots with broader training have weaker special abilities, creating meaningful choices as you build your crew. Hired pilots also contribute victory points during play.

• Fleet upgrades: Access four new ships by upgrading your original vessels.
• Specialized pilots: Recruit pilots with unique abilities and ship-type training.
• Press-your-luck exploration: Venture into deep space to seek rewards while risking cosmic threats.
• Exploration badges: Collect four badge types for potential end-game bonus victory points.

Beyond the planets, exploration may reveal dwarf planets worth victory points or rare materials that provide resources. It may also bring solar storms, black holes, or supernovas, making every expedition into deep space a calculated risk.

Exploration badges are tallied at the end of the game, with bonus victory points awarded based on who has the most of a particular badge type. Tiny Epic Galaxies: Beyond the Black also adds more planets and new secret missions, giving your expanding galaxy further objectives to pursue.
