Downforce: Civilized Promo

About this expansion

Downforce: Civilized Promo is a one-card expansion for Downforce, a game for 2–6 players with an approximately 40-minute play time. Released in 2018, it adds a new player power that can be included in the base game.

The featured power is called Civilized. On your turn, you may choose a car on your speed card that is owned by another player. If you choose to do so, that player moves the selected car before you move the rest of the cars shown on your card.

This compact addition creates more variety from one game to the next while introducing a distinct timing choice during your turn. The card focuses on the order in which cars are moved, giving its owner an additional way to use a car belonging to another player.

Before adding this promo to your collection, check the card format carefully. It is a standard-sized card, approximately 64 mm × 88 mm, and is compatible with the Restorations and Iello versions of the game.

It is not the approximately 56 mm × 87 mm “standard American” size required for the Goliath slim-box version sold at Target and Dollarama. Downforce: Civilized Promo is therefore best suited to players who own a compatible edition and want a simple way to add another option to their games.
