About this expansion

Orléans: Prairie is a level II place tile for use with Orléans, a game for 2–4 players originally released in 2016.

As the owner of this place tile, you gain a rule that rewards moving your pawn to towns where other players have already established a presence. Whenever you enter such a town, check whether one or more players have built a trading station there.

If they have, choose one player who owns one of those trading stations. That player must give you 1 good of their choice, if possible. The choice of player rests with you, while the good can be selected by the player giving it.

  • Tile type: Level II place tile
  • Trigger: Move your pawn to a town with one or more trading stations
  • Benefit: Receive 1 good from a chosen eligible player, if possible

Orléans: Prairie therefore focuses on the relationship between movement, towns, and trading stations. Its effect applies specifically when your pawn reaches a town that already contains at least one trading station, creating a clear condition for using the tile’s ability.

For players looking to understand exactly when this place tile applies, the key detail is that the move must take your pawn to the town. Once there, you may choose among the players who own trading stations in that town, and the selected player must give you one good if they can.
