About this expansion

Copenhagen: Nyhavn is a 2019 expansion for 2–4 players, designed for games of around 40 minutes. It adds two Queenies—single expansion modules featuring multicolor tiles—to the Copenhagen experience.

The multicolor tiles introduce a precise new card requirement. To claim one, you must discard cards in the tile’s exact color combination, making each opportunity a focused test of your available cards and timing.

A familiar placement discount remains available, but the multicolor tiles add an important restriction. If one of the tile’s squares touches a previously placed tile of the same color, you may receive a one-card discount when placing it. This discount can be used only once and only for the color being touched; if the tile touches more than one color, you choose where to apply it.

• Size-three tiles: Added to the game alongside the normal tiles.
• Size-five tiles: Replace the normal size-five tiles, preserving the competition for these larger pieces.
• New shapes: The replacement size-five tiles feature completely different shapes for a fresh challenge.

The two Queenies are separately labeled but packaged together and sold as a pair. Size-three additions expand the available tile options, while the reworked size-five tiles change the shape puzzle without reducing the pressure surrounding them.

With exact color combinations to manage, a limited placement discount to judge, and redesigned large tiles to compete for, Copenhagen: Nyhavn offers a compact way to add variety and a sharper tactical challenge to your games.
