Specter Ops: Pre-Order Promo Cards

Specter Ops: Pre-Order Promo Cards is a 2015 promotional card release for 2–5 players, containing two cards available free with a pre-order from Plaid Hat Games.

These cards provide distinct effects for agents to use against hunters. The EMP Grenade is revealed when played. Choose a vehicle within 4 spaces of your agent, and hunters cannot move that vehicle or use its equipment until the beginning of your next turn.

Vehicle equipment includes examples such as a motion sensor. The EMP Grenade therefore focuses on temporarily restricting both a chosen vehicle and the equipment associated with it.

The Proximity Mine uses a concealed setup. Do not reveal the card when placing it; instead, mark “M” on a space up to 2 spaces away from your location.

• EMP Grenade: Reveal it to disable a nearby vehicle and its equipment until the beginning of your next turn.
• Proximity Mine: Mark a nearby space, then reveal the card at the start of your turn if one or more hunters are within 4 spaces of that marked space.

When the Proximity Mine is revealed under those conditions, it stuns those hunters. Together, the two promo cards in Specter Ops: Pre-Order Promo Cards use vehicle disruption, concealed placement, distance limits, and timing requirements to define their effects.
