About this expansion

Aventuria: Inn of the Black Boar is a dungeon-crawl expansion for 1–4 players, with games lasting about 180 minutes. Published in 2019 for Aventuria: the Adventure Card Game, it casts players as prisoners falsely accused of treason and forced to escape into the darkness.

After being seized, disarmed, stripped of their valuables, and bound by the Count’s guards, the heroes must find a way forward before dawn. They begin exhausted, surrounded by darkness, and equipped with only the scantiest weapons. The uncertain fate awaiting them drives this desperate exploration.

The expansion’s centerpiece is a new exploratory dungeon crawl based on the first adventure for The Dark Eye. Random Dungeon Cards and 20 different random combat encounters ensure that the adventure changes from one play to the next, making Inn of the Black Boar one of the most replayable Aventuria expansions.

• Four new heroes: the honorable Amazon Warrior Palinai Erlendur of Kurkum, the streetwise Grolm Merchant Neerax Dal, the mysterious Maraskan Buskur Nicole Sororis, and the battle-hardened Tobrian Mercenary Heigan Malleaux.
