Stalingrad ’42: Little Saturn / Winter Storm Expansion is a scenario expansion for 2–4 players with an approximately 240-minute play time. Designed for Mark Simonitch’s Stalingrad ’42, it covers the period from December 14, 1942, through February 5, 1943.

The scenario portrays the Soviet Little Saturn offensive, which follows Operation Uranus against Germany’s Romanian and Italian allies. At the same time, German forces attempt to break the Soviet encirclement of the 6th Army through Operation Winter Storm.

Alongside the main Little Saturn and Winter Storm scenario, the expansion provides counters for three additional operations. These include the Soviet Ostrogozhsk-Rossosh Operation against the Italians and Hungarians, the Voronezh-Kastornoe Operation against 2nd Army, and the final offensive against Stalingrad, Operation Ring.

The expansion includes an 8-page scenario booklet and the game materials needed to set up the campaign. An Axis Setup card, a Soviet Setup card, and a Turn Record track with reinforcements support play across the scenario’s timeline.

Released in 2022, Stalingrad ’42: Little Saturn / Winter Storm Expansion is included in the second edition of the main game. It extends the Stalingrad ’42 experience with a focused scenario covering the Soviet offensive, the attempted German relief operation, and the subsequent operations represented by its additional counters.
