About this expansion
GIPF Project Set 1 is a 1999 expansion for the two-player game GIPF, with a listed play time of 120 minutes. It adds TAMSK potentials, introducing new ways to play the strategic abstract game.
The set contains 12 TAMSK potentials: six white and six black, providing six potentials for each player. The TAMSK-potential is the first additional piece of Project GIPF and is named after the game TAMSK.
Each TAMSK-potential can grant its owner an extra move during a turn. These additional pieces change how GIPF can be played, offering a distinct new possibility while preserving the connection to the original game.
- 12 TAMSK potentials in total
- Six potentials for each player
- Introduces the option of an extra move during a turn
- Expands GIPF as part of Project GIPF
The TAMSK game includes three white and three black TAMSK potentials as samples. Those samples are enough to get a feeling for how the potentials change a game of GIPF, while six potentials of each color is the standard number for play.
GIPF Project Expansion Set #1 is intended both for players who want more potentials without buying a second copy of TAMSK and for those who want to explore potentials without purchasing TAMSK. It gives GIPF players a dedicated way to add the TAMSK-potential to their collection.
