Munchkin Blender

About this expansion

Munchkin Blender is an expansion for 3–6 players with a 90-minute play time, designed to combine multiple Munchkin base and expansion sets. Released in 2004, it is not a standalone game and requires at least one Munchkin game, preferably two or more.

Built for so-called blender games, this set supports combinations such as Munchkin, Star Munchkin, and Munchkin Fu. Mixing several sets can create wonderfully strange games, but it can also slow things down. Munchkin Blender tackles that problem in classic Munchkin fashion: by adding a collection of deliberately overpowered new cards.

Among the set’s standout additions are escalating versions of familiar effects and plenty of opportunities to make an already chaotic game even more extreme:

• Ultra-Munchkin goes beyond Super-Munchkin.
• 1/3-Breed pushes the Half-Breed concept further.
• Cheat With Both Hands offers an even bigger twist on Cheat.
• Additional monster enhancers and item enhancers expand the ways cards can be upgraded.
• New low-level monsters provide opportunities for easy kills—unless someone enhances one into something absurd, such as the Ultra-Rare Extremely Sneaky Sock Puppet With Extra Cheese.

Intended as an ultimate party kit for Munchkin fans, Munchkin Blender is a compact way to stir together multiple sets and supplements. It is part of the Munchkin series and was updated during The Great 2010 Munchkin Changeover, although it was never reprinted.

The set is permanently out of print and has been superseded by Munchkin 7: Cheat With Both Hands, which contains the same cards with the fantasy Munchkin color scheme. Many updated cards are also available through Munchkin: Go Up a Level.
