Alien Artifacts: Breakthrough is the second expansion for Alien Artifacts, supporting 2–5 players with a listed play time of 60 minutes. Set at the most intense point in human history, it continues the story after the mystery of alien technology has been solved.

Humanity is ready to seize the powers hidden within that technology, but new threats uncovered in Discovery create fresh challenges for the space-faring factions. The expansion gives players new ways to develop their favorite game engines as humanity pursues its technological breakthrough.

Breakthrough adds 40 new cards to the Alien Artifacts base game. These cards are designed to introduce new combinations and expand the possibilities available to the factions competing among the stars.
